GAME RULES — Clear & Simple Guide Basic Setup
  • Padel is played with a solid padel racket and a padel ball (similar to tennis ball).
  • The net height is 88 cm in the center and 92 cm at the posts.
Scoring
  • Scoring is the same as in tennis: 15–30–40–game.
  • “Golden point” can be used at 40–40 depending on the format.
Serve
  • Serve is underarm only.
  • The ball must bounce on the ground before hitting it.
  • It must land in the opponent’s serve box.
  • The serve may hit the glass, but hitting the metal mesh is a fault.
  • You have two serves.
During the Rally
  • The ball may bounce off your own glass and still be in play.
  • The ball may not hit the metal mesh on your side before crossing.
  • If the ball goes directly into the opponent’s fence, it’s out.
  • After bouncing on the opponent’s court, the ball may hit glass or mesh — the point continues.
General Rules
  • Most padel rules are the same as in tennis, but the walls are part of the game.
  • If the ball bounces once on the court and then hits the wall, it is still good.
  • Only one bounce is allowed; two bounces end the point.
